2018 High Five Tour

Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS) hit the road for the 9th annual High Five Tour 2018. During the eight month tour, a mobility-equipped 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor will travel the United States. Americans of all walks of life are invited and encouraged to show their support for our military families by visiting an event on the tour and signing the tour vehicle with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families.  A deserving veteran and his family will receive the 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor at the end of the High Five Tour. The 2018 Detroit Veterans Day Parade will be dedicated to honoring the 100th year commemoration of the end of World War 1.  On November 11, 1918, Germany signed the armistice agreement and the First World War was officially ended.  Fighting on the Western Front ceased at 11 am.  It also marked the beginning of what would become Veterans Day.  A day to honor all Military Veterans.

Many restaurants, retailers, services and entertainment venues are giving away free meals, discounts, and other benefits to veterans on Veterans Day (Sunday, November 11, 2018).  The UAW-Ford Veterans Department is providing a list of some of the participating restaurants.  Please contact the restaurant to verify participation.
