The Advanced Manufacturing Committee focuses on new technologies and future strategies related to the Ford “Factory of Tomorrow” and how it will impact the workforce and UAW-represented Ford manufacturing facilities. This team further seeks to understand these technologies and strategies to address the challenges and opportunities, technological changes will present for employees.
The Advanced Manufacturing team partners with multiple organizations to have early involvement on topics such as, but not limited to:
• Electrification and the transition from internal combustion
engines (ICE) to battery electric vehicles (BEV).
• Autonomous vehicles
• Additive manufacturing
• Industry 4.0
• Workstation of tomorrow
• Virtual manufacturing
